മരണം മായ്ച്ചു കളയട്ടെ, എനിക്കു ജന്മം നൽകിയ ദുർദ്ദിനം;
കാലപ്രവാഹത്തിലെന്നേക്കുമതു മറവിയിൽപ്പെട്ടുപോകട്ടെ.
ഇനിയെന്നെങ്കിലുമൊരുനാളതു മടങ്ങിവന്നുവെന്നാകട്ടെ,
അന്നു സൂര്യനെ രാഹു ഗ്രസിക്കട്ടെ, ഭൂമിയിലന്നിരുളു വീഴട്ടെ.

വെളിച്ചം മങ്ങിമായട്ടെ, സൂര്യൻ പടുതയ്ക്കുള്ളിലാവട്ടെ.
അവസാനത്തിന്റെ ശകുനങ്ങൾ ലോകമെങ്ങും നിറയട്ടെ.
വിരൂപങ്ങൾ പിറക്കട്ടെ, മഴ പോൽ ചോര പെയ്യട്ടെ,
ഒരമ്മയും പെറ്റ കുഞ്ഞിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടറിയാതെപോകട്ടെ.

എന്തെന്നുമേതെന്നുമറിയാതെ പകച്ചവർ, പേടിച്ചവർ,
ശോകം വിളറിച്ച മുഖങ്ങളിൽ കണ്ണീരൊലിക്കുന്നവർ,
കണ്മുന്നിൽ തകരുകയാണു ലോകമെന്നവർ കരുതട്ടെ.

വ്യഥ കൊണ്ടു വിറ കൊണ്ട മനുഷ്യരേ, കണ്ണീരു തുടയ്ക്കുക,
ഈ ലോകത്തീ ദുർദ്ദിനത്തിങ്കലല്ലോ പിറന്നുവീണു,
ലോകമിതുവരെക്കണ്ടതിൽവച്ചതിഹീനമായ ജന്മം!
