കാലമറ്റ കാട്ടിനുള്ളിൽ
കൂറ്റനൊരു മരം വെട്ടിവീഴ്ത്തുന്നു.
വീണ മരത്തിനരികിൽ
നെട്ടനെയൊരു നിശ്ശൂന്യത വിറക്കൊള്ളുന്നു,
തായ്ത്തടിയുടെ വടിവിൽ.
അതിന്റെ മർമ്മരമൊടുങ്ങും മുമ്പേ
തേടൂ, കിളികളേ, തേടൂ,
കൂടുകൾ തങ്ങിനിന്നതെവിടെയായിരുന്നു
ആ മഹോന്നതസ്മൃതിയിലെന്ന്.
In the hourless forest
A tall tree is being felled.
A vertical void
Trembles in the form of a shaft
Near the outstretched trunk.
***Search, birds, search,
For the site of your nests
In this high memory
While it is still murmuring.
